My dear family and friends. This past week I had two wonderful experiences that were filled with the spirit. The first was watching and listening to the First Presidency Christmas Devotional. I strongly encourage and invite you to watch this even again.
I (we) also had the opportunity to go to the movie theater to watch Michael McClain's movie version of the “Forgotten Carols” This has been updated and modernized and made more relevant to today's world. I feel much better and much stronger Spirit testifying of Jesus Christ with this version. Again, I invite you to go to see this movie.
As I contemplated what if anything the Spirit wanted to teach me this week the impression came Angels. This brought to mind a book I read a couple of years ago. Written by President Nelson’s wife Wendy Watson Nelson. The book is titled “Covenant Keepers. Click on the following link to listen to her own words from the book.
The Book of Mormon in Moroni chapter 7 we read:
Moroni 7:35 And now my beloved brethren, if this be the case that these things are true which I have spoken unto you— and God will shew unto you with power and great glory at the last day that they are true— and if they are true, hath the day of miracles ceased?
Moroni 7:36 Or hath angels ceased to appear unto the children of men? Or hath he withheld the power of the Holy Ghost from them? Or will he so long as time shall last or the earth shall stand or there shall be one man upon the face thereof to be saved?
Moroni 7:37 Behold, I say unto you: Nay. For it is by faith that miracles are wrought. And it is by faith that angels appear and minister unto men. Wherefore if these things have ceased, woe be unto the children of men, for it is because of unbelief; and all is vain,
Do you believe that angels are real? Do you believe that they can help you? Have you felt their presence? Have you heard them? Have you seen them?
I testify that I have, many times throughout my life. I know too they can let you feel their presence. I know that from time to time you can hear their voice. I even know that they can show themselves to you.
I testify that Jesus the Christ. Was born the babe in Bethlehem. He wrought the atonement for each of us. Because of Him we have the free gift of Eternal Life through the resurrection. They serve him to minister to us! When we hear the phrase to “Let Him In”. Many times that starts with the Angels of Heaven. And yes there are many earthly angels also.
To close I invite you to listen to Elder Hollands talk from the Christmas Devotional. I also invite you to ponder on this message and start to strip yourself of the unbelief, that you like I have. And invite Angels into your life.
