To my family and friends. MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!!
IT’S THAT WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR. CHRISTMAS, little kids are excited for Santa to come. Adults are exhausted from all the preparations, gift buying, wrapping presents, the stress of what to buy and give. Thoughts of who did I miss. You all know the routine.
I invite you to relax a moment or two. Ponder The Who for the season. The reason we have a Christmas.
Think back many many years ago when the Old Testament prophets prophesied of the coming Messiah. The Jews followed very strictly the laws of Moses to help them prepare for his coming. Many others knew of His eventual coming to the Earth. Many were misconceptions fo what He would do or who He would be when He came.
Picture a dark and lonely knight for a shepherd watching their flocks that night. They had noticed in the Heavens a Star much brighter than normal and wondered what the meaning was. Picture now (paraphrased) suddenly Angels of Heaven appearing to them. Do not be afraid, they said we bring you good tidings. They proceeded to announce the coming birth of our Savior Jesus Christ born the babe of Bethlehem on that wonderful night. They hastened to find him. I picture them leaving their sheep and running as fast as they could to find the newborn baby.
This was to be a very special night. All the Angels of Heaven were signing and truly Joy was brought into the world. For this was an O Holy Night. I apologize for any advertisements that might appear first.
Can’t you just picture the Savior Jesus the little newborn babe? His precious Mother Mary. So very young, not fully understanding all the attention, angels, shepherds, I would even imagine the animals in the manger area overcome with a special spirit of Love. And Joseph true to Mary, protecting her, taking her to be his wife. Knowing that he would be a stepfather to little Jesus. How grateful I am for the courage that he showed during this time.
And then rapidly this of His life, the things He taught, the example He set. He taught us about repentance. He healed the sick, restored sight to the blind. Healed the Lepers, Raised the dead. Fed the thousands. Turned water into wine. He performed many amazing miracles. But most of all, He taught us to love all. To be willing to forgive all and not hold feelings against others or seek revenge. He gave us a much higher law. For in Him the Law of Moses was fulfilled. During this special time of the year, this poem hits very close to home for my family and I’m sure for many of you. We lost our beautiful young daughter only 38 years old, 6 years ago this coming January. We lost my wife’s father the day after Christmas about 26 years ago.
How grateful lI am to know that they are with Jesus Christ this and every Christmas, and every day in between.
We love each one of you. Reach out to those with whom you might have strained relationships. Express your love for them. I testify the Jesus is the Christ. He was born of Mary and returned home to His Father as THE CHRIST. King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
He loves each of you. Heavenly Father loves each of you. It’s my prayer that during this special time. Each one of you will fill his love and find joy in knowing He is there for you.
In the name of Him, Jesus the Christ, Amen
Christmas in Heaven
I see the countless Christmas Trees,
Around the world below.
The tiny light, like Heaven’s stars,
Reflecting in the snow.
The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away that tear.
For I m spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
I hear the many Christmas songs, that people hold so dear.
But the sounds of music can’t compare
With the Christmas choir up here.
I have no words to tell you, the joy their voices bring.
It is beyond description to hear the angels sing.
I know how much you miss me.
I see the pain inside your heart.
But I am not so far away. We really aren’t apart.
So be happy for me loved ones. You know I hold you dear.
And be glad I’m spending Christmas
With Jesus Christ this year.
I sent you each a special gift from my Heavenly home above.
I sent you each a memory of my undying love.
After all, love is more precious than the purest of gold.’
Love always most important in the stories Jesus told.’Please love and keep each other, as my Father said to do.
For I can’t count the blessings of love
He has for each of you. Wipe away that tear.
Remember that I am spending Christmas
With Jesus Christ this year.
